Sarah “Sally” Flynn, MS, FNP-C
Sally Flynn is a family-practice trained nurse practitioner with special interests in working with children, teens and women. Her practice is based on the importance of patient education to empower patients in their own health decision making and preventative care. She joined Columbine Family Practice in 2006.
A Cincinnati native, she attended the University of Colorado in Boulder, where she earned a bachelor’s in biology and environmental conservation. Sally earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Regis University, where she graduated magna cum laude. For eight years, she worked at Denver Health Medical Center in the emergency room and intensive care unit. During that same period, she earned her master’s degree in family-practice nursing from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, graduating in 2001. Her other professional work includes adult urgent care at Denver Health Medical Center and family care at Arapahoe Internal Medicine in Littleton.
Sally is certified through the American Nursing Credentialing Center. Once a medical host on ski patrol at Copper Mountain Resort, her interests include, telemark skiing, hiking, and traveling. She and her husband and their new baby live in Denver.
David Rodriguez MSN, FNP-C
David Rodriguez is born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Regis University in Denver, Colorado with a Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis in family practice. He is a past President of the Colorado Society of Advanced Practice Nurses of Colorado and is currently chair of the legislative committee for Colorado Society of Advanced Practice Nurses. David has held the position of Associate Professor at the Community College of Denver/Health Sciences Department and was an EMT/Paramedic prior to becoming a certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
David and his wife Marion are both Family Nurse Practitioners and live in the Denver area. With David’s twelve years of experience and ability to converse in Spanish he fills a need for our Spanish speaking patients. “I will treat all my patients with respect and dignity and will do my very best to help them to become healthy.”
Doreena Casias-Estrada PA-C
Doreena, or “Doreen” as she likes to be addressed, hales from Chicago, Illinois. She has family roots in Colorado and is fluent in Spanish and speaks some Italian. She graduated with Honors from Chicago Cook County Hospital Physician Assistant Program in 2006, and is a Recipient of Two Gold Seals on the National Board of Exams, a Recipient of E.J.Feinhandler M.D. Memorial Scholarship Award and a Recipient of Harold Washington Acedemic Excellence Award. Doreen has clinical training from Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois in their Cardiac Thoracic Surgery/Orthopedics departments and from St Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois assisted in their Obstetrics and Gynecology surgery programs for vaginal deliveries and C-Sections.
She also has experience in General surgery and Emergency Medicine from Mt Sinai Hospital and Cook county Hospitals in Chicago, Illinois. Her 13 years of experience, vast knowledge of patient care and bubbly personality are great assets to Columbine Family Practice.
Doreen is “Happily” married with one daughter and enjoys the Colorado Mountains, operas and traveling. She is an educator at heart and enjoys the interaction she has between herself and her patients.
Stacey Josif PA-C
Stacey Josif is a Physician Assistant with interest in working with women and the elderly. She earned her Bachelors degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. She earned her Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences and Physician Assistant degree from the University of Toledo. During this time she also earned a graduate certificate in contemporary Gerontological Practice. Stacey has clinical experience in emergency medicine, general surgery and internal medicine from the Toledo Hospital in Toledo, Ohio and pediatrics care from the Toledo Children’s Hospital, Pediatric Emergency Department, also of Toledo, Ohio. With her Family Medicine experience from Family Medical Center of Temperance, Michigan and Obstetrics and Gynecology experience from A Woman’s Answer clinic in Toledo, Ohio,
Stacey brings a wealth of experience to our community here in Littleton. Stacey enjoys all aspects of Family Practice, particularly the opportunity to develop long-term, productive and meaningful relationships with her patients. She is an Ohio native but her love of the outdoors, for skiing, hiking and camping has brought her to Colorado.
